TRAFFIC ALERT: Some upcoming lane shifts in Wilmington have been postponed

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – CFPUA officials announced that some lane shifts on Dawson and Wooster streets in Wilmington to allow a contractor to complete road paving work have been rescheduled.

The following planned traffic shifts have been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date:

  • Dawson Street between 12th and 13th: Left two lanes closed
  • Dawson Street between 13th and 14th: Lefthand lane and street-side parking closed
  • Dawson Street between 15th and 16th: Left two lanes closed
  • Dawson Street between 16th and 17th: Left two lanes closed
  • Wooster Street between 7th and 8th: Righthand lane and street-side parking closed
  • Wooster Street between 8th and 9th: Lefthand lane closed
  • All traffic shifts originally scheduled for Monday, February 15, and Tuesday, February 16

Crews are completing paving work Thursday, February 11, at several locations near downtown Wilmington. The following traffic shifts remain in place and are scheduled to be lifted later Thursday, February 11:

  • Wooster Street between 11th and 12th: Righthand lane closed
  • Wooster Street between 10th and 11th: Righthand lane closed
  • Wooster Street between 8th and 9th: Lefthand lane closed
  • Wooster Street between 5th and 6th: Left two lanes closed
