LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – Novant Health on Wednesday announced the opening of an express clinic inside the Walgreens on Village Road in Leland.

The walk-in clinic will be staffed with Novant advanced practice clinicians (physician assistants and nurse practitioners) to provide patients two years and older with treatment for common illnesses and injuries, as well as chronic care. No appointments will be necessary.

Testing, vaccinations, wellness exams and screenings will also be offered.

The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Novant Health is excited to partner with Walgreens as this will help us make healthcare more convenient, affordable and accessible,” said Dr. Pam Oliver, executive vice president and president of Novant Health Physician Network. “Our new clinics at Walgreens create an additional venue for Novant Health to support and care for community members with chronic conditions as well as expand access to quality care for minor illnesses and injuries.”

Novant will also open similar clinics at Walgreens in Charlotte and Winston-Salem.
