No injuries reported after detached garage destroyed in afternoon fire

A detached garage at a Castle Hayne home was destroyed in a Tuesday afternoon fire, according to New Hanover County officials. (Source: WECT)

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A detached garage at a Castle Hayne home was destroyed in a Tuesday afternoon fire, according to New Hanover County officials.

The fire was first reported around 2 p.m. in the 3200 block of Sky Court in the Ivy Wood community off Blue Clay Road.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
