RALEIGH, N.C. (WECT) – The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) has expanded the vaccine hotline hours and added a new search tool to help people find their nearest vaccine location.
The COVID-19 vaccine help center number is (888) 675-4567 and staff is available to answer general vaccine-related questions Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Callers can also get information (in English or Spanish) about eligibility groups, vaccine locations and transportation services available to vaccine sites. Callers can request a call back instead of waiting on hold when agents are busy.
“We want North Carolinians to be able to get answers to their questions—whether that is about the vaccines and how they work, when they are eligible to take their shot, or where their spot is to get a vaccine. They can call our hotline or go to YourSpotYourShot.nc.gov and get honest information,” said NCDHHS Secretary Mandy K. Cohen, M.D.
Click here and enter a ZIP code or current location to find a nearby vaccine provider using the online search tool. Although, this will be updated regularly with the latest data, users should call the vaccine provider directly to confirm availability and schedule appointments.
While vaccine supplies are still low, vaccination appointments are limited. Groups 1 and 2 people are currently eligible, including health care workers, long-term care staff and residents, and people age 65 and older.
