N.C. high school sports to be delayed until at least Sept. 1

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association announced on Wednesday that the fall sports season will be delayed until at least September 1.
The NCHSAA added that the first five days of the upcoming school year will be designated a “dead” period for all sports, allowing school staff to focus on the start of classes.
Phase One of summer conditioning and workouts will be allowed to continue until further notice.
