Law enforcement searching Greenfield Lake for potential evidence

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A dive team currently was working in Greenfield Lake Monday morning.

According to a Wilmington Police Department spokesperson, police believe a firearm connected to a shooting it is investigating may be in the lake.

Nothing has been recovered as of noon on Monday.

The search began in connection to the shooting last month in downtown Wilmington.
