WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – 100 Black Men of Coastal North Carolina Inc. will be holding an online workshop for parents of students who are preparing for college.
The event will take place on Facebook on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8:30-9:45 a.m.
“Parents will engage with professionals and learn the nuances of navigating the college admissions and funding process as well as the right academic courses their child needs to take to gain acceptance to a reputable college or university,” organizers said.
The panelists will include LaTasha Jones, an admissions coordinator at UNCW, and Dr. Veronica Edge, a guidance counselor at Laney High School.
