WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – President Trump has approved a major disaster declaration for North Carolina Wednesday.
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper requested a major disaster declaration for the state Tuesday.
In specific, the declaration asks for the federal government to offer individual assistance for those affected, including crisis counseling, unemployment assistance and small business assistance.
North Carolina has been under a state of emergency since March 10.
