Dane Rideout hired as new Elizabethtown town manager

ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. (WECT) – The Elizabeth Town Council unanimously voted to install Dane Rideout as town manager during a special meeting Wednesday night. This comes after Eddie Madden resigned from the post last month after serving thirteen years to become county manager for Columbus County.

Rideout comes from Bluefield, West Virginia, where he served as town manager.

Elizabethtown Mayor Sylvia Campbell credited Madden with the assistance of many projects in the area which included renovations of the downtown area, the installation of a new airport terminal building, and many park improvements.
