WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Crews with the Wilmington Fire Department are responding to calls of a hazardous fluid spill on Carolina Beach Road near Independence Boulevard.
According to the fire department, one lane is closed on Carolina Beach Road and on Indpendence Boulevard going towards River Road.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area while crews work to clean the spill.
WFD units are on scene of a hazardous fluid spill on Carolina Beach Road. Traffic is reduced on Carolina Beach road down independence towards River road. Please avoid this area and let responders work safely. WPD is controlling traffic be patient with delays.
