WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Crews responded to an apartment fire Monday afternoon at 171 Long Street in Wilmington.
Fire crews were dispatched to Valley Gates Villas shortly before 4:30 p.m.
The fire started in an unattended kitchen.
According to officials on the scene, two people suffered from smoke inhalation but refused EMS treatment.
The two people displaced by the fire are being taken care of by the Red Cross.
