Emergency boil water advisory issued for Kings Grant, approximately 150 customers affected

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Officials with Cape Fear Public Utility Authority have lifted an emergency boil water advisory in the Kings Grant community.
The advisory was issued on Tuesday after a vehicle struck and damaged a fire hydrant at the intersection of Dickens Drive and Lord Tennyson Road, which caused water to flood the immediate area.
The boil advisory affected approximately 150 residents in the following areas:
- the 5100 and 5200 blocks of Lord Tennyson Road
- the 900, 1000, and 1100 blocks of Lord Thomas Road
- all of Morris Court
- all of Shakespeare Drive
- all of Dickens Drive
- all of Keats Place
- all of Hardy Place
- all of Fielding Drive
- all of Kipling Court
