CFPUA board approves budget; rates to remain unchanged

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – At a time when many people are still out of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic, water and sewer rates will not be increasing for Cape Fear Public Utility Authority customers.
On Wednesday, the CFPUA Board approved its operating budget for the 2021 fiscal year. The budget of $89.98 million is a 5.2 percent increase from the previous year.
Water and sewer rates will remain unchanged.
