Bladen County shooting victim is identified

CLARKTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office has identified a man who was shot to death in Clarkton Friday evening.
According to a news release, deputies responded to Oakdale Homes off South College Street around 9 p.m. after receiving a call about a shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim Germaine Trayvon Menser, 25, of Clarkton, dead at the scene. Officials say Menser suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
“Investigators with the sheriff’s office conducted a crime scene search and interviewed potential witnesses in the area,” the news release stated.
Deputies say the homicide appears to be drug-related and the investigation is on-going.
