Wilmington police identify 19-year-old woman killed in Thursday night shooting

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Wilmington police have identified a 19-year-old woman who died Thursday night following a shooting in the 100 block of S. 11th St.
According to a spokesperson for the police department, when officers arrived on the scene around 11 p.m., they found Shamia Dychelle Stokes-Greene of Wilmington suffering from life-threatening injuries.
She was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where she later died.
The case is under investigation and no arrests have been made as of Friday afternoon.
