LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – At the Local Government Commission meeting on Tuesday, July 9, the board is set to discuss funding for the Leland Town Hall, affordable housing in multiple counties and more.

The Town of Leland is asking the LGC to approve its plan to get $13.5 in limited obligation bonds to improve and expand the existing town hall. The LGC said that it has received about 150 largely negative public comments about the proposal.
