BOILING SPRING LAKES, N.C. (WECT) – Crews responded to a structure fire in Boiling Spring Lakes on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a post on the Boiling Spring Lakes Fire Rescue (BSLFR) Facebook, the fire occurred at around 2:00 p.m. on N Shore Drive.

BSLFR says crews from Sunny Point, Bolivia Fire Department, Southport Fire Department, Winnabow Volunteer Fire Department, and Oak Island Fire Department arrived to contain the fire. The home sustained significant damage from the fire, but firefighters managed to salvage some of it.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by BSLFR and the Brunswick County Fire Marshal’s office.
