PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A Leland man is in custody on charges related to child sex crimes, according to the Pender County Sheriff’s Office.
Per the release, 38-year-old Ruben Alvarado Rodriguez was charged Wednesday, Aug. 21, with one count of indecent liberties with a child. He was given a $25,000 secured bond.
“Investigators with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office would like for members of the public with knowledge of Ruben Alvarado Rodriguez and his involvement in similar crimes to contact Detective-Sergeant Steve Clinard or Detective Steven Scott at 910-259-1437,” the PCSO adds.
The Pender County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims unit worked alongside the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office to make the arrest.
