LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – The Town of Leland has created the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Comprehensive Safety Action Plan to guide the town towards creating safer transportation options.
“The SS4A Plan aims to identify existing transportation and roadway conditions, analyze historical trends, and prioritize projects that will enhance the safety of Leland’s transportation network. By recommending a comprehensive set of projects, strategies, policies, guidelines, and standards, the SS4A Plan will serve as a guiding document to improve safety for all road users,” a town announcement states.
Residents are invited to share comments via this map, complete an online survey and/or visit an open-house workshop on July 15 at Town Hall between 3 and 7 p.m.
The map and surveys will be open through the end of July. You can learn more about the federally-funded plan here.
