WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A lane has been shifted for southbound traffic on N 23rd Street near Shirley Road as of Aug. 22.

Per the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority, the 2200 block of Shirley Road is also closed to through traffic; only local traffic is allowed there for now.

The shift will last while water main repairs are completed over the next few hours.
