NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A man’s body was pulled from the Intracoastal Waterway Sunday morning, according to police.
Residents near the boat landing said they saw a large police presence early Sunday morning and police had taped off the Johnny Causey Landing.
North Myrtle Beach Police Officer Patrick Wilkinson confirmed police are investigating after the body was recovered at the boat landing.
WMBF News also contacted the coroner’s office to learn more.
On Monday, the coroner’s office said they are working with police on the case and trying to identify the man who died.
WMBF News asked the coroner’s office if the investigation was a criminal investigation or not. We are waiting to hear back.
