CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The Charlotte Hornets selected forward Tidjane Salaün with the No. 6 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft on Wednesday night.
The 6-foot-9 18-year-old from France was named MVP of the 2023 Trophy of the Future tournament, averaging 17.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
Scouts described Salaün as a smooth transition cutter who can also knock down shots from deep.
A native of Paris, Salaün averaged 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 54 games (40 starts) this season across all competitions with Cholet Basket of the LNB Elite league, France’s top division.
