LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – Several homes have been evacuated on Playground Way due to an ongoing 20-acre brush fire near Lincoln Road, per a Town of Leland representative.

According to the town, the call came in at 12:48 p.m., and multiple structures were threatened by the fire.

Firefighting efforts are ongoing, and there are no known injuries.

Lincoln Road has been reopened.
