A Georgia ICU nurse is being hailed a ‘hero’ after adopting her patient’s dog. Nurse Kimberly Still cared for the dog’s owner in her final days. As she got to know the patient’s family, Still learned how much she loved her chihuahua, Jax. When the owner died, she tracked the dog down at an animal shelter outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Her original plan was to make sure Jax had a good home. When the nurse took him home, she knew she never wanted to get rid of him.
