WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Harris Teeter deli counters all over the country are back open Saturday after being temporarily closed due to a listeria outbreak.

The closure occurred after Boar’s Head announced it’s recalling more than 207-thousand pounds of its products, after the FDA found that one of its products was contaminated.

Infections in several states, including North Carolina, were linked to sliced meat at deli counters.

WECT made calls to area Harris Teeters. They confirmed the closure only lasted through Friday night.
