PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The Pender County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 16 arrested 24-year-old Devin Michael Brode from Hampstead on child porn-related charges, per the PCSO.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation followed a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children along with the NC State Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Brode is charged with 20 counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of minors and is being held at the county jail under a $500,000 secured bond. According to the PCSO, the ages of the children being assaulted ranged from infants to around 12 years old.

The PCSO says it is an open investigation because of the possibility of additional charges, and anyone with information regarding Brode is asked to call Det. Steven Scott at 910-259-1437.
