PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The first Sheetz in southeastern N.C. is set to open Tuesday, July 9, according to a press release.
Per the announcement, the location, at 17000 U.S. 17 near Hampstead, will open to the public at 8 a.m. Free coffee and soda will be served all day in celebration of the opening.
“In recognition of this opening, Sheetz will host a grand opening celebration for local residents. The grand opening festivities will begin outside the store at 9 a.m. with multiple prizes awarded, including a grand prize giveaway of free Sheetz for a Year.* The store’s official ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 10:45 a.m.,” the release states.
The grand prize will be in the form of a $2,500 gift card.
In celebration of the opening, Sheetz will also be donating $2,500 each to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and Special Olympics North Carolina.
“Customers attending the grand opening are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to the [Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina]. Those who donate will receive a Sheetz branded item, limit one per customer while supplies last from 9-11 a.m.,” announcement adds.
