WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Your First Alert Forecast for Wednesday features a 50% chance for storms and hot high temperatures mainly in the lower to middle 90s. As rain odds trend even higher to close the week, expect daily temperatures to sink back toward or into the 80s. The friendlier atmosphere for storms in the Cape Fear Region will, thankfully, not translate to the tropics, as new development remains unlikely anywhere in the Atlantic Basin for the rest of the week.
