CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport hourly parking deck Saturday morning.

According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the blaze broke out just after 9 a.m.

The Charlotte Fire Department said four cars caught fire on the 4th floor of the hourly parking deck. One civilian and two police officers were injured.

The fire was brought under control by 60 Charlotte firefighters in 40 minutes.

All parking operations and roads at the airport have reopened with the exception of the 4th floor of the hourly parking deck, according to the airport.

Airport operations were not affected but parking delays should be expected.

Charlotte Fire Department investigators determined the fire to be accidental starting in the engine compartment of one of the cars. In total, four cars were damaged, causing $105,000 in damages.
