WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Crews responded to a house fire in Silver Lake Thursday morning, June 13, according to a New Hanover County representative.

The home is in the 400 block of Hedingham Lane.

There is obvious damage to the top of the building, and the county says nobody was home at the time.

A neighbor called 911, and crews rescued a dog from the scene.
