BLADEN COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The Elwell Ferry in Bladen County reopened Tuesday, Oct. 29, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

The closure was first announced to last until Oct. 24, before it was extended to Oct. 31.

The ferry had closed for maintenance.
