WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – This year’s pooch plunge began on Wednesday at the Robert Strange Park pool at 410 S 10th St.
The schedule is:
- Thursday, Sept. 5 (3:30 to 7:30 p.m.)
- Friday, Sept. 6 (3:30 to 7:30p.m.)
- Saturday, Sept. 7 (noon to 5 p.m.)
- Sunday, Sept. 8 (noon to 5 p.m.)
Per the YMCA, the cost is $5 cash per dog per day and dog park rules apply: all dogs must be up to date on vaccines, owners are responsible for pet behavior and aggressive dogs are not allowed.
Humans are not allowed in the pool while dogs are in the pool, so no humans can be in the water even partially during the event.
