Multiple DMV driver license offices are set to close for a day in the coming weeks as officials work to switch its new vendor for licenses due to the backlog.

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Multiple DMV driver license offices are set to close for a day in the coming weeks as officials work to switch its new vendor for licenses due to the backlog.

Per the DMV, the closures are:

  • North Wilmington: Friday, June 14
  • Shallotte: Monday, June 17
  • South Wilmington: Tuesday, June 18
  • Burgaw: Thursday, June 20

The DMV expects to be done with switching over equipment and staff training before June 28.
