WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – William Bon Viso from Wilmington received $20 cash from his aunt for father’s day, and he used that money to buy a scratch-off and won $250,000, per the N.C. Education Lottery.
Normally, his aunt buys him scratch-offs.
“I was like in another world,” he recalled. “I was on a cloud.”
He bought the 20X The Cash ticket from the Walmart on Sigmon Road.
“Life is just all about timing,” Bon Viso said. “It just shows you have to always follow your gut.”
After withholdings, he took home $178,751 on Friday, June 28.
