WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Sheri Baker has been sentenced for giving students alcohol at Anderson Elementary School while working as a crossing guard back in May.
The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office suspended Baker from her position as a crossing guard earlier this year.
The district attorney’s office says Baker pleaded guilty to giving alcohol to a person under 21 this month and got a 21-day suspended sentence along with a year of probation.
Baker is no longer a part-time civilian employee with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, according to NHCSO officials.
