WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A crossing guard at Anderson Elementary School has been suspended due to an investigation that she provided alcohol to minors, according to the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.

A spokesperson told WECT that 63-year-old Sheri Baker, a part-time civilian employee with NHCSO, was suspended on May 31 pending the investigation.

WECT has reached out to the State Bureau of Investigation for more information.
