Local healthcare, office closures due to Tropical Storm Debby

COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Due to the incoming Tropical Storm Debby, Columbus Regional Healthcare System is canceling all outpatient services that were scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 7-8.

These include:

  • Cardiac Rehabilitation
  • Pulmonary Rehabilitation
  • Physical and Occupational Therapy
  • Donayre Cancer Care Center
  • Cardiopulmonary Services
  • Sleep Lab
  • Imaging
  • CRHS Pre-Op Clinic
  • Outpatient Labs
  • Wound Healing Center
  • Surgical Services (Emergent cases only)

Columbus Regional Healthcare Network practices will also be closed on those days:

  • Advanced Imaging Leland and Whiteville
  • Advanced Orthopedics Leland and Whiteville
  • Advanced Pediatrics & Family Care
  • Advanced Primary Care Leland and Whiteville
  • Advanced Urology Leland and Whiteville
  • Baldwin Woods OB/GYN Tabor City and Whiteville

“We hope everyone will stay safe for the duration of the storm. You will be called to reschedule your appointment,” a CRH announcement states.

Wilmington Health announced that its offices and Today’s Cares will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Dosher Memorial Hospital announced Thursday morning that all Dosher medical clinics will be closed Thursday and Friday, including:

  • Dosher Medical Atlantic Ave.
  • Dosher Medical Howe St.
  • Dosher Medical Oak Island
  • Dosher Medical Long Beach Road
  • The Dosher Wellness Center
  • Dosher Medical Walk in Care
  • Dosher Medical General Surgery
  • Dosher Medical Women’s Health
  • Dosher Medical Bald Head Island

“All outpatient services including Wound Care, Therapy Services, Nutritional and Diabetes Education, Diagnostic Imaging, and Cardiac Rehab will close at 12:00 pm on Thursday August 8th and will be closed all day Friday August 9th,” the announcement states.

The Dosher Emergency Department will remain open throughout the storm, however.

Bladen County Government Offices will be closed on Thursday, including the Bladen County Solid Waste Sites.

The Bladen County Emergency Operations Center is open as of 6 p.m. Wednesday and will remain open throughout the storm. Bladen County Emergency Services and Bladen County Sheriff’s Office will be fully operational
