COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Columbus County Finance Director Lacie Jacobs and Grants Administrator Tess Norris resigned this week, per a county representative.

Jacobs resigned effective 3:40 p.m. on July 30, and Norris submitted her resignation Wednesday morning, July 31.

Norris started in June 2023 at the county from Southeastern Community College after fellow former-SCC employee Jacobs was hired as finance director for the county, according to the county.

Commissioners are set to meet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday to name an interim finance director.
