Cape Fear Community College announces transfer agreement with Western Carolina University

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Cape Fear Community College announced a new partnership with Western Carolina University Monday, Aug. 5.

According to the announcement, the partnership will provide current CFCC students a direct-entry pathway to WCU following graduation, as long as students:

  • “Submit a WCU application for admission and records by WCU deadline;
  • Submit application fee or waiver and fulfill all commitment action steps;
  • Be in good standing at Cape Fear Community College and any other institutions attended;
  • Earn and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 at CFCC and a minimum GPA of 2.20 in their most recent term;
  • Earn an Associate’s Degree from Cape Fear Community College in a college transfer program or in an applied program for which an articulation agreement exists;
  • Enroll at WCU within one academic year.”
