CALABASH, N.C. (WECT) – A project in Calabash is scheduled to be completed within the next year.

According to NCDOT officials, the Calabash River Bridge project is 69% done. All spans are set and the contractor is preparing to pour the bridge overlay surface, curb, and gutter.

The project is expected to finish by May 1, 2025.

Drivers can still detour onto Old Georgetown Road, Seaside Road, Sunset Boulevard, and Shoreline Drive for alternate routes.
