DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – An electrical company doing work at an Eastern Carolina turkey plant has been fined after a worker was killed earlier this year.
The North Carolina Department of Labor cited R.H. McRae’s Electrical Contractors with one serious violation.
The worker died on February 22nd at the Butterball plant on Garner Chapel Road in Duplin County.
The Rockingham-based company was fined $6,452.40. It has 15 days to either request an informal conference, contest the fine, or pay the penalty.
