BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office was able to use its resources to locate a hiker lost in the Green Swamp Preserve on Tuesday.

“Yesterday, when a young lady hiking through the Nature Conservancy in the Green Swamp lost her way, the Sheriff’s Office was able to reach her using resources we are so fortunate and. grateful to have. Air One located the young lady from the air and guided those operating the Sherp, an all-terrain, amphibious vehicle that is able to get through rough and soggy terrains, to her and bring her to safety,” BCSO wrote on their Facebook page.
