BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The Brunswick County Board of Education is set to discuss a property purchase at Jackey’s Creek for a future school location during a special meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Brunswick County Schools is planning to buy the 64-acre property for $5.56 million, and it would become an elementary, middle and high school. The exact price will change depending on the acreage on the final plot. Still, it will need board approval before it moves forward.

The board will also be reviewing an application for the district to hire Cronk Law, PLLC as its legal provider.
