BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Brunswick County on August 15 launched the Health and Wellness Resource Portal, featuring information to help people get healthcare, fresh food and more.
The portal features a map that outlines local assistance programs, clinical services, community centers, fresh food markets, mental health services and wellness programs along with local parks, trails and recreation facilities.
“Brunswick County Health Services is excited to offer a centralized resource guide that is useful and accessible to the people in our county,” Health Director David Howard said. “Our commitment to addressing community health issues and supporting the well-being of our community is what motivated us to create this new tool.”
You can visit the portal on the county’s website.
The portal was created as a joint effort by the county’s Health Services and Geographic Information Systems departments.
