BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The Brunswick Community College Dolphins Baseball teamed finished the season as a runner up in the NJCAA World Series.
Colby Thorndyke, previously being honored as a First Team All-American, was named NJCAA Division II Player of the Year, and Shawn Cameron was named NJCAA Division II World Series Offensive MVP and got the ABCA Rawlings Gold Glove award, per BCC.
Tanner Collins, Allen Brown and Evan Pait were named to the NJCAA World Series All-Tournament Team.
Coach Robbie Allen also celebrated his 500th career win this season.
“We are incredibly excited for Coach Allen and all our players,” said BCC President Gene Smith. “Their hard work and dedication have paid off, and these honors are well-deserved. This season has been legendary for the BCC Dolphins, and I am honored to have shared in it. I’ve no doubt they will build upon this success next season. We could not be more proud of this team both on and off the field.”
