BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The Brunswick County Board of Elections voted on July 16 to relocate five election day polling places for the general election.

The following precincts and polling locations will be affected:

  • The Brunswick Center at Shallotte to West Brunswick High School,
  • Holden Beach EOC Building to Sabbath Home Baptist Church, 990 Sabbath Home Rd SW, Supply, 28462
  • Sandy Creek Town Hall to Bethel AME Church, 4924 Blue Banks Loop Rd NE, Leland, 28451
  • Boiling Spring Lakes Community Center to South Brunswick High School
  • Ocean Isle Beach Town Hall to Seaside United Methodist Church

Voters in the affected precincts will be mailed a card notifying them of the polling place relocation. They can also check their voter registration record using the Voter Lookup Tool.

“These relocations were made to ensure that all voters have a safe and efficient voting experience,” said Sara LaVere, Director of the Brunswick County Board of Elections. “To reduce possible wait times, we needed the ability to increase the amount of equipment and staffing that some of our polling places were allocated.”
