WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Tufanna Bradley has been named the director of New Hanover County Health and Human Services, according to a county announcement.
Per the release, the Health and Human Services Board consented to an appointment by County Manager Chris Coudriet.
Bradley had been serving as the interim director since September when former director Donna Fayko resigned.
Barfield was elected to serve as the board’s vice-chair. Bradley will also continue service as an assistant county manager.
“During her time as an Assistant County Manager, Bradley has overseen numerous departments as part of her portfolio,” the county states. “In August 2020, she took on oversight of the newly consolidated Health and Human Services department (Public Health and Social Services), along with the Senior Resource Center, Community Justice Services, and Veteran Services. Additionally, Bradley currently serves as a liaison with the court system and Trillium Health Resources, both of which receive county funding.”
