BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern NC has announced that it is adding two new club sites in Brunswick Co. for the 2024-2025 school year.
This year, students will be served at Bolivia, Supply and Virginia Williamson Elementary School starting on Aug. 26.
“This expanded partnership with Brunswick County Schools addresses the growing population and increasing demand for quality after-school programs in Brunswick County. The Boys & Girls Clubs will operate from bell dismissal until 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday, throughout the 2024-2025 school year. The new sites at Virginia Williamson and Bolivia Elementary Schools join the existing programs at Supply Elementary School, offering more youth a safe and supportive environment to thrive,” a County announcement states.
The clubs offer programs focused on fostering academic success, citizenship, ‘good character’ and healthy living.
“We are thrilled to expand our reach and provide more youth in Brunswick County with access to our innovative and quality programs,” said ShanRieka Freeman-Cooper, Regional Director of Programs and Units. “Our programs are designed to empower young people to excel in school, lead healthy and productive lives, and become responsible citizens.”
