COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A 25-year-old man from Bolton was indicted in early July on 38 charges of sex crimes involving children, according to court documents.

Per documents from the Columbus County Courthouse, Aaron Hunter Thomas Coleman has been indicted on 22 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 16 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The charges relate to the duplication and possession of child pornography. Coleman is accused of committing the crimes between January 2022 and March 2024.

He is being held under a $1.5 million dollar bond, and is scheduled for a hearing on Aug. 5.
