WALLACE, N.C. (WECT) – The BackStreet Music Festival in Wallace invites the community to experience gospel, R&B, gogo band, jazz and country music on Saturday, August 3.
You’re encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, shades and a hat with your family for the day to celebrate.
The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with craft booths, food and drink vendors, a BBQ cook-off, recreational games for adults, dance groups and water slides all at 208 SW Railroad St., Wallace. Musical performers include Carl Newton and the Band, DJ Easy, and the Project 919 Band.
All About the Bags Cornhole will host a cornhole tournament with 2 players per team registering for $40. You can register by reaching out to Felix Herring at 910-616-7173.
A team and individual bike audio competition will be held at 11 a.m. with a $40 entry fee and a bike show will be held starting at 2 p.m. with a $25 entry fee. You can learn more by reaching out to Brian Crooms at 980-263-8342.
The event will be raising money as the annual fundraiser for Tri-County Youth Services Residential Foster Care.
